Gubachi says that Organic farming is not meant for all. It's a duty given to the chosen few. It's these proud organic farmers who are the saviors of Mother Earth's fertility. Organic farming is not just about replacing the chemical manures and pesticides with naturally produced manures and pesticides. It's about understanding the nature of soil and seeds; Its about relating to the environment around; Its about integrating the farming with that of the natural biological processes.

Listed below are some of the Organic farmers whom we are proud to list here:
  • Balamurugan In “Know Your Farmer” programme we visted Balamurughan's farm. Balamurughan is a engineer by profession and farmer by habit. Still if you want to describe Balamurughan,  he loves farming, cultivation , agriculture, environment and also toiler. He is in this generation where everyone tells that we don’t have time, but still he is spending all his free time in agriculture.He grows Banana, Mango, Tsunami gourds, Pumpkin, Papaya and Arillate in his farm. He uses traditional method (using V shaped stick) to grow Banana. He divides his land to different parts to grow mixed crop.Preparation of FertilizerHe prepares his own fertilizer by forming his own pits.   • AP Chandrashekar AP Chandrashekar is a household name in the organic community for the last 20 years and his farm INDRAPRASTHA is very systematically 'designed'. Out of total 13 acres, 4 acres is meant to be 'grown' as a dense forest with coconut, areca nut, banana and lot of wild trees and plants. This area is fully rain fed with a lot of biomass containing several layers of compost materials. It is almost like a jungle with several feet high of biomass all over the place, Adjacent to this, lots of fruit and vegetables are grown with a sprinkler system which feeds water during the summer season and rain fed.
